Default Just Bought a TSX Today and Airbag light stays on. Read More. Thanks

    Ok first off. I just Bought a 04TSX CGP, 71,719 K miles.

    3 Dents
Bad wax job (leftover wax in cracks)
    Airbag Light Stays on
Bad rotors (Brakes shake when slowing down on hwy or to a stop)

I kinda got ripped, Because the Owner before this car got the wrong carfax from the person he bought it from. and he Forwarded me the Carfax and it was all the wrong VIN.

But all in all the VIN# on the title and Vin# on the Body and Frame matched.

Showing Moderate accident report in the front end.
Showing Moderate accident report left side.

I found this OUT just 10 minutes as im type now... GRR im pissed, I went outside right after I found out, Went and looked at all the VIN numbers on the Doors and they are all Original. I also tapped my fingers around each body part on the car to see if there was Body work done to the car or any welding of quarter panel, or Bondo and such and such. There was none..

All I noticed what the headlight and Grill was a little off, That could be a easy fix by just alight the headlight fenders and bumper/grill also.

    Headlights are Brand New.

    Paint matches great.

Paid 10,000 Cash. Renewed tag and transferred title this morning when I bought the car...

Happy as hell, and now to the BAD NEWs, Carfax.

Most HATED problem the AIRBAG light stays on. Car drives fine, got an Alignment from a friends shop. Drives str8 as an arrow.

How will I find out which sensor is bad. My friends shop used a OBD2 scanner and scanned it. It said " Left Side Airbag Deployed", I didnt see anything. CLEAR TITLE. Not salvaged or Total loss.

Which airbag could it be? and How much or what can I do to get rid of that Stupid ass light. My cluster looks beautiful but that damn RED Airbag icon stay Lit.

Please any advice and what you think might be a solution would help me out. First time owner of a TSX and Have been searching about AIRBAGS. but I know for a fact it no just by leaning on the door panel.

Another question, DID I get ripped or I got what I paid for???
SIGH... Shit sucks. I wish I would have known. Guy drove from Alabama to visit friends in ATLANTA GA, and He sold it to me and rode back with a friend. It caught my eye to how decently clean it was.

I thought dents and dings can always be pulled, and brakes can be changed, and Front end realigned would be good to go, BUT THE DAMN AIRBAG light. Errr

Thanks and help will be repped and vouched for.

I called acura and they said its not able to clear. It either has to be a Sensor or a Malfunction in the Airbag control module.

I have to scan it tuesday at Acura Carland. Hopefully its nothing big...

It can be cleared. They just want you to come in so they can start throwing parts at it and destroying your wallet. Clear the light, wait till it comes back on (if it does). Figure out which sensor or module it is.

Well They cleared the Code, But still Airbag pops up. They used the special " Honda Airbag Reader" and it said Left front airbag deploy. But before it was sold to me, they replaced it, and Didnt replace the SRS UNIT. So I will have to be getting one from Acura in about 1 week when I get some money. Friend at Acura said he will install it for 40 bucks. So yeah. Hopefully Everything goes well. Ill keep you guys updated about this. thanks for all the ADVICE.

I think you got a good deal on the car. It has minor problems other than the airbag light so i think you're good.

I wouldn't say you got Ripped but you were taken advantage of by receiving the wrong info. whether it was intentional or not. I'm sure you'll be more thorough next time.

I hate people that misrepresent cars (whether it was the previous or prior to previous owner) they were in the wrong.

10k was decent for the mileage would've been a steal if the history was better.

Don't beat yourself down for it though, sure you'll be fine - they are great cars.

Thanks for all the Help guys. And EJ1soSlo, I was going to call you, But I gotta get some more important things figured out with this car before i do some minor PDR. I can live with the dings, but I cant live with the RED Airbag light in my face... Now a Problem with AC.

Okay today/tonight I was chilling in my driveway cleaning the interior while the AC was set at 72degrees and 2 bars. I kept hearing the AC fan cutting on and off... Isnt the AC fan supposed to stay on while the AC is turned on??? well a little later when the AC fan cuts off the AC started to get warm. Then when the AC fan cuts on the AC gets back to normal cold tempurature...

Could it be a Bad compressor, or AC RELAY or AC Fan switch???
Like I said Im about to give up and sell the car for what I paid, I already put like 400 into new rotors and pads on all 4 corners, Full Alignment, and Wheel balance. Now more problems..

I intentionally wanted to buy a car without Problems what so ever. Its a ACURA/HONDA... My damn Civic ek and Integra ran fine without and Problems...

and Acura dont do a damn thing about all these TSX's having problems. So many people with the same problems on TSXclub.com, Acurazine.com and Acuraworld.com. BUT still no RECALL.

Oh did I forget that I have a Clutch pedal popping problem now, Supposedly its a CMC. Shit! another damn problem. they are easy fixes, but if you were in my shoes without a job right now, and just spent a lot of money on a "Nice" car, and had all these problems, You'd be pissed too. I know I am. But hey, You get what you pay. I should have just saved like 4 more thousand and get the 06-07 models, but I couldnt wait and school is about to start soon.
