So i'm looking into the optima batteries and tryin to see which one i need for my system. I hear the yellowtop is badass but do i really need that? or will the red top be more then plenty of power. i don't have to big of a system fi that helps any. Thanks in advance for any help

I have a yellow top in my integra and had a red top in my RL. I think the yellow top puts out about the same just in a smaller package. Not sure. The price difference between the two was about $30 at the time I purchased them. Don't know now. I love em. No more changing batteries. They are worth the extra expense considering how much you could pay for a tow or the cost of purchasing multiple standard batteries over time. I'd go with what ever optima that will fit properly in your civic at the lowest price.

You have a valid point. However the reason most people go with the optima is vibration resistance. Its a dry cell so you don't run into the traditional problems of a wet cell battery that are more suseptable to interal damage, cold, heat and fluid related issues. Optimas still last from 2 to 3 times longer than a wet cell battery. Mine is at 2.5year and counting with never a single problem. Couldn't say that about my previous two premium batteries which I paid almost as much money for each. I especially like the fact I don't have to worry about the nasty crust that most batteries get from fluid leaks.
