Its just a chipped and mapped ECU. LOOSELY Mapped. My car would barely run with it, but they get you fairly close.

Its worth it really. I had no issues, other than his map on mine was very rich. Which, I expected. A little tweaking afterward, and it ran great.

    My vote....Yes

I'd just get hondata and save myself the trouble. But Phearable is a great tech site, I just wouldn't trust a base map to go boosting on.

their base maps are pretty good, and most of the base maps they make run rich and they take the timing back a few degrees so you wont blow a motor.

its just a chipped ecu nothing special. there map doesnt matter. if u have a car that needs a chipped ecu it should be on the dyno getting tuned before a mile goes on it anyways.

I've ran 4 different chips from them, just long enough to get me to a dyno and a real tune. All ran well and a good bit rich. But you could just PM scotty and he can set you up local...

they are fine...basemaps are just that; nothing special. get it tuned right away or you'll just be wasting your $ regardless where you get it from. make sure it comes w/ a datalogger otherwise you'll spend more $ to have it added at the time of tuning. i've got them available for $180 chipped w/ datalogging running crome/gold. if you have a stock obd1 ecu i can chip it for $80. tuning is also available. feel free to give me a call if you have any questions.

if you already have the obd1 ecu then it's only $80 to chip yours...no need to buy one already chipped.

give me a call and we can discuss the rest of the specifics.

Oh yeah SCotty ---- email me my MAP please from my tune!! Thanx

To the OP, work w/ Scotty man -- you'll be happier in the end.

    EXAMPLE FROM THEIR SITE:

    Why choose Phearable.net?
    - Phearable.net is the ONLY company to test all ecus before shipping.
(THIS IS UTTER BULLSHIT!!!! EVERY1 worth buying from tests their ECUs.)
    - Phearable.net has extensive tuning experience & knowledge.
(AND?? SO DOES A LOT OF OTHER TUNERS)
    - Phearable.net's basemaps are based off dyno proven fuel & timing maps.
(YEAH - FOR THAT PARTICULR ENGINE/MODS and atmospeheric conditions. You build 2 IDENTICAL engines and you can end up w/ 2 TOTALLY different MAPS and tunes. Plus - at the end of the day, even a Phearable ecu/map needs to be street or dyno tuned to optimize the tune.

"tune by mail" (i.e superchips, phearable) etc is NOT the way to ENSURE everything is up to snuff. A "base" map is so that the car will start/run (loosely) and survive long enough to get to the dyno - IF THE DYNO is a close drive.

DO IT ONCE, DO IT RIGHT!!
