Hey guys my son just got a 1999 mitsubishi eclipse. I have been all over the web and cant seem to get a straight answer about a code p1390. Car runs great no stalling spittering or sputtering. I everything i have seen people gave symptoms but i have none of them. If anyone knows of anything please let me know? Thanks Guys

A frend of mine had this happen to his GS Eclipse a few years ago. The 0351 code should be showing up with the 1390 code.Check to make sure the timing havent jumped a tooth or 2,if ok then check the crank and cam sensors(usually the cam is bad which triggers the crank sensor).

Yeah it only gave me the one code. I checked the timing and replaced the crank angle sensor. I definitely look into the cam sensor and when i went to clear the code after i replaced the crank sensor it also said i might have to take it to the dealership to have them reset the prameters on the crank and cam sensor. I know the guy he got the car from swapped the motor.
