If you never done it before, then take it to someone that knows what they're doing. Either that or pick up a helms manual and start reading.

Why would he take trans off and put new trans on for a motor swap? Why you got to change the trans?
Back to being stock and slow

it's pretty damm easy, It's like taking candy from a baby only if you have all the necessary tools

    you'll need

    10mm
    12mm
    14mm
    17mm
    19mm
    32mm for your axle nut
    pliers for some stuff
    needle nose

    axles comes off
    rear mount
    passenger side mount
    driver side mount
    ac side mount
    tranny side mount
3 plugs harness side of passenger
3 plugs harness on driver side
3 ground wires, tranny & valve cover, near thermostat housing
knock out the gator tooth that holds the shift linkage i use a 3/16 to knock it out with hammer & 12mm
take off 2 12mm bolts that holds the slave cylinder
header to catback bolts believe it's 14mm 2 of them
take out radiator, for more room to work
and them boom boom poWW engine hoist that bish out and take off
