how many miles you got on the motor...do a compression check
ITs probably piston rings. In my experience on hondas the oil control rings seize into the piston and don't properly scrape the cylinder walls. This will NOT show up on a compression test since the compression rings still work properly.

LOL Barefoot, we should run this section.
lol technically we do. you, josh, and i. hondabuilder is on his way up. i think if we stopped answering question this section would be full of half ass throw parts at it answers.Originally Posted by green91

We need more info on "burning oil". Does it do it more at idle or high rpms or all the time. How much oil are you burning (1qt every 500miles)? There could be a few different things that cause it. Also, is it a built motor or stock?

When I reach vtec, it burns oil I guess.
I just put 3 quarter more.
Now it looks no less. I will check again,
Most likely your Oil Control rings. Oil Consumption rarely comes from a headgasket, and its almost impossible to blow a honda headgasket on a stock motor.Originally Posted by fininfarina
To consume that much oil, most likely your rings are shot. COmpression test will only tell you if the top ring is sealing, and if you have bad oil control rings, your numbers will be "fine" as there is oil in the cylinder.

mines does the same thing but i burn a like a quart a week, but i lowered my fuel pressure and now its like a quart every other week.i think the excess fuel was washing the oil off the walls causing it to burn

What air fuel is your car running at now and what air fuel was it running at?Originally Posted by jdm-civic
couldnt it be bad head gasket also?
sure, it could be.Originally Posted by blue_gt
What are the leakdown numbers and if there is a problem with the leakdown where is it leaking to?
sounds like pistons rings to me.

i agree with the piston ring theory.... common thing as well
are you smoking alot at idle?
