No people taking bikes that are full fairings and stripping them are called streetfighters...

a SV is called that if they are called streetfighter the title will state it when you buy it new, because that is how they are when you buy them new just like that.

This is nothing more then just a SV ..the reason for the less fairing, less headlight fairing, is to save money for the lesser amount for the bike when buying , and they up right the bike to ride comfort , but yet has the motor to pull 2 400 lb people in the mountains with ease lol... they are torque monsters..

But to the answer to your question NO they are called SV

    they have them in 650cc, 1000 cc,etc

streetfighter usually means a crazy custom look

an SV650 is just a naked or Standard bike

Ok ... the sv above 2004 comes like that... If its a " street fighter style" then yes i suppose you could call it that... I need a wind screen bad the wind above 100 is bad...

I had an SV650S as my last bike. I loved that thing, mountains and on track it was a blast. You don't have to focus as much about what gear your in since its got so much torque. I thought it was pretty quick till I bought my Fz1, but I still miss it sometimes.

Yea i will get something higher reving when i get used to riding... The power curve is FAT on this bike so i know what you mean by blast on the track...

I am new to bikes also. I would like a SV for the track though. I like the sound of a sporty V-Twin
