    Default axle question

    on my 88 crx dx if i get a ex/si tranny can i use my dx axles?

    Yes, the axles will go in with no problem. But if you get anything other than an 88 tranny, you will have to change the clutch disc. Because the splines on the shaft are different for 88's and 89-91's. The transmission side of the axles are the same for 88-91 dx/lx/si/ex though.

    oh so if the tranny is from a newer civic i need new axles? damn.

    No, the axles are fine. You need a new clutch disc if the tranny is from a newer civic.
