the torx bolts are to remove the airbag. once you remove the airbag you will be able to gain access to the big nut that holds the steering wheel onto the column. yes you will need a hub adapter to put an aftermarket wheel on. you're SRS light will also be on.
    Who knows?

When I removed mine I needed the tool. Mine was an 03 I believe. I think I saw something about Mitsubishi changing that in the later years tho.

At any auto parts store, lowes, home depot, sears etc. in the tool section look for the Torx bits, they are sold individually and as a set of various sizes. Should be what you need.

just remember to let the car sit with the battery unplugged for at least 10 minutes before playing with the airbag. dont want it to go off in your face.
