b20 is going to be cheaper and will make more tq than the 1.6. make sure you get the one with the smaller intake mani. if you get the one with big asS intake mani i think you have to use a LS intake mani. i have a B16a2 and its a good daily but just to slow. there is threads all over this site with opinions on these two motors. what tranny are you using

well b16 tranny if i get that from my friend, and or if i go B20 then ill be shoping because the one on password does not come with tranny
it would b this 1
is that the big azz manny, i got a b18a1-ls manny laying around anyway
b16 tranny with b20 motor will run good numbers in 1/4 mile

yeah man, b20 with a b16 tranny would be sick. more torque = whoop whoop, lol. i wanted to do a b20 swap, but changed my mind into...a little something better lol.
ya ive been leaning tord the B20
how about gas?
gas mileage? it's a hondaOriginally Posted by NOCLUE
. haha jp, well you might still be able to get good mileage. dont worry about it, b20 and 87 gas works well, lol. unless your boosting, nitrous or an all motor build.

so it will be just as good as the sohc (gas), ya all motor, no boost 4 me at lease not for a while
well, its to many factors to that question you just asked. i guess it's just the way you drive that determines your mpg. in my opinion if you get atleast 30 mpg's then your okay, lol. based on what i've seen about single cams, they can get atleast 35 or maybe even 40 mpg.Originally Posted by NOCLUE
yup yup
b20
btw good luck with the swap man
x2^ Plus putting a B16 into a 4-door is not the best idea, no tq in a heavier carOriginally Posted by HatchHero
. Go with the B20 it will be faster and cheaper....

Ya i think i will being going B20
good move
just remember the sleeves on the b20 sucks, lol

its clear
B20 will be pretty sweet. I'm still a fan of the LS b18.. b20 will probably be a better deal though. And you will love it! And as for gas mileage.. I don't think you're going to be drinking gas with a stock b20. When.. and if you put a vtec head on it.. It'll go to shit unless you drive like a granny. ITR tranny + 5800rpm vtec = probably 12-16 lol.
My dodge ram hemi gets way better mileage to a tank than my si.
I could also use a good tune..![]()
I love it though..![]()

go b20 all day dude its a perfect daily drive. its in my car right now and it pulls. nothing crazy but u still have a fun daily drive. I have the jdm b20b swap fs, in perfect condition, and no mo hondas can vouch for it. It even comes with the ls intake manifold AND ls ecu so u dont even have to buy those cause the b20 intake manifold is high like giraffe pussy. here is a thread of it so u can check it out. lmk!

LOL i heard
even tough its an 2.0 it will get good gas milage the comperssion is 8.8 what car you plaining on putting it in ?

yeah, you'll be happy with a b20. if your going to build it, remember to get it sleeved.
the b20s are rad.. you cant run either intake mani, so dont worry about which one it comes with.
PERSONALLY, i dont recommend using a B16 tranny unless you plan on cracking the case and popping in an LS or GSR 5th gear.. a b20 at 80 mph with a b16 tranny is gonna be rough on the motor and on your ears and pocket. try a GSR instead..
good infoOriginally Posted by MidLifeCrisis
still got it if u want it man.
^LOL I got 30mpg with that carOriginally Posted by sirkus
. The only thing a B20 isn't good for is boost, if u plane on doing that later on then do an LS, and if not B20 all the way
