i have a 97 civic ex and i really like the 99-00 front ends not the si's but like an ex front end. i found a whole civic its a 99 its still got the whole front end if i was to change everything over would my car be worth more.?? bump= reps thanks inadvance.

i'd pick the 99-00 front over the 96-98 front anyday.

and because of that, if i were looking to buy a civic and saw a 96 civic with a 99-00 front, i'd be more willing to buy it.

so because of that, it'd be worth more(to me at least)...

yea, i think someone just sold a front end conversion a couple weeks ago for 500, and im not sure how much you are getting the car for, but depending on, you might do good parting it

it wouldn't be worth anything. It's a civic with a newer civic front end... nothing special. Plus, with the 96-98 civic SiR front bumper and lip on your car, You'd have a very nice and very clean Civic. Don't fall into the norm of having something everyone else does. Leave the front end you got and spend the money on wheels or paint or something worth it. Doing the front swap, it will just look like a 99 civic. nothing more nothing less.

Google would have told you that doing mods to a car will bring the value down, not up. Private buyers may pay more for Aesthetic modifications, but on the whole, putting the newer front end on the car is only going to lead anyone who has half a brain cell to think something happened. You would be better taking purp's advice, buying something a little rarer and hence raising the demand in an educated buyers eyes.

There are most likely more people ou tthere looking for a civic with a SiR front bumper at a reasonable price than a 99 ex front bumper.

End the end, do what you want, your the one that has to drive the thing, the rest of us can laugh and go on our way, but it sits in your driveway.

the actual value, kbb etc it will not go up. alot of people like the 99-00 front ends including me. it just looks better to me. it's almost the same as an si except for the grill. as someone stated earlier it may heps ell it but other people may start asking questions about it, example someone who isn't in the know about honda's.

the si grill is about the same as the SiR grill. you can get them at a reasonable price.
