When I broke my E30 key the dealership made a new one from it. It was like $27 and took two days to get it back in.

Can a locksmith make a key for a car with just a lock cylinder?
i think so kinda like if you break a piece of your key off in a door
Its not like its a electronic key. It would prolly only be about $20

When I used to work at a hardware store, we made duplicates of broken keys all the time. Try your local Ace or True Value. If they haven't upgraded to the new style machines like Lowes, HD, and the like have, then they should be able to. Question will be though, if the person helping you really wants to take the time to do it.
Good luck.
