my cousin's integra is overheating. well, it only overheats when he turns on the AC. When he turns it back off, it goes back down. Any idea? A new radiator?

TOO BIG
assuming that there was enough fluid in the system.
1. time for a rad flush
2. your comp is about to take a shit on u
3. your fan is about to take a shit on u
normally its one of those with 3 that 1 see.
so it's best to get a new radiator? and what you mean by the comp.

How is he on fluid?
If he's good, I'd do a flush just to see if that fixes it without having to put a comp or fan.
well first, the hoes was bad, so he changed that. but the fluid is good. put some water and antifreeze on there.

i would have him drive around for a few days with the a/c belt off and see if it happens again. if it does it will lead u to the cooling system. if its the cooling system start with a flush cost $20. if it works your good to go. if it doesnt work u can replace the rad.
ok if it doesnt happen when the belt is off pu the belt back on see what happens. if it happens your bearings in the compressor or about to if not shot. replace the compressor.
If your driving there is air flow which means its not your a/c fan. Now if the a/c temp isnt cool enough inside the car when you come to a stop then yes your a/c fan is bad or something stopping it from working. But this WILL NOT cause your car to overheat, but if the a/c compressor is about to lock up then yes it could.
If the car is running hot while the a/c is on but cool when its off. you need to check this
radiator stopped up or low on fluid, when the a/c is on it puts a strain on the motor.
Check for leaks, check an see if the radiator fan is working, do a coolant presure check too...
could be many things. but this is all a start not stating this will be the problem but a few ideas out there for ya.

does the fan turn on when the a/c is turned on... does the fans work at all?
