I have an 03 celica and I want a custom exhaust to help the car breath better. Not sure if this will be better that a cat-back exhaust but I'm hoping it will be a lot cheaper. Any suggestions on what shop and part I need to get?![]()

Guess I'll be saving up then. LOL thanks.
Good lucking find a cat-back since the cat is made into the mid pipe on that car LOL.
LOL ?? Im learning here is that a good thing or a bad thing? Please explain.![]()
Well on alot of cars the cat just bolts in, but on your car its made into a large part of the exhaust pipe. Your best bet would be to have a custom exhaust made so they could weld it on after the cat.
save up, buy a skunk2 legit exhaust, and get a full cat-back

you cant get a cat back for this car. you can either get a custom exhaust made or buy an axle-back exhaust. please dont spout off information if you dont know what you are talking about.
ill take a pic of my friends black/yellow celica thats in norcross, from headers to exhaust straight pipe 2 inches, no cat-converter...but ok...guess she has a one in a million celica CUSTOM made like that LOL

OH gees the hall monitor is here. OP posted a legit question, and once again mrnotboostedcrx is spewing off false information. its no wonder noobs get so confused with the rampant false information around here.
...
Um maybe I'll just weld on a good muffler and call it a day. LOL
I believe there is a sponsers list in hear and some would probubley be glad to help you out.
TOO BIG
green91 is correct. The midpipe and cat are welded together on the Celica. The only aftermarket bolt on exhausts are axlebacks. You can just have a muffler shop make you some custom mandrel bent 2.5" piping with a resonator that bolts to an aftermarket axleback and welds to the cat.
