I was wondering how do you go about chaning the oil pan gasket on the engine do you have to take the engine back out the car just to change the oil pan because the way the engine is sitting in the car I can not tell how to remove it any help would be helpful

IIRC, you can get it out with pulling the engine. Its been awhile since I worked on a KA 240.

If anything is in the way it would be the steering rack. Take that out and you should be good to go.

If your asking step by step.
    Jack car up.
    Remove steering rack.
Remove oil pan. (The little bolts on it. Take those out)
Cut off the old gasket with a razor, clean the shit out of it. Clean the pan out while your at it.
    Put it back on.
Put the steering rack back on.
    Fill car with oil.
    Un-jack car.
