Default Need to fight the insurance company

Sooo, I let my friend drive my car and he wrecked it. He busted two wheels. The car is being fixed but now I have a problem. They only want to give me $180 a piece for my wheels. They said that since they don't make them anymore and I don't have a receipt showing what I paid, they cannot price them out. This is bullshit, because my tires cost more than $180 a piece. So my question is, how do I get them to pay me what I deserve for the wheels?

    Wheels in question:

NOT true if you have proof the wheels was on the car with pics you need to find them somewhere on the internet for the value and print that and show them!

if you can't then NO there isnt anything you can do

proof of ownership and cost is all you need, they are always going to lowball you. You are just going to have to play hardball with them and keep pushing for what you want

I got hit and run a month ago. My insurance company tried to lowball me but my friend that owns a body shop pointed out stuff and convinced them to pay 1000$ more.

what you deserve! is a pay check from your buddy, not your insurance. you should be glad that insurance is giving you that much, i'm not hating. & if you told insurance that your friend was driving and not you, they wouldn't even cover him. You should talk to kevint707 he'll tell you a little of what he's going through, with somewhat same situation.

That's not true, if you have full coverage for your car & you allow someone else to drive your car then it can be covered but if you didn't allow them to drive it then it is stolen which you would need a police report & that person would go to jail.

Nope, that's not how insurance works. Insurance follows the car, not the insurer.
