Default SCAT rods not fitting in the cylinder bore???

Like the the title states my SCAT rods wont slide inside the cylinder bore. They will go in buts its really tight and I don't want to scratch the bore. Its a d16Z6 stock bore with just honing done.

Would it be ok to sand down the edges of the rods just enough to get them to freely slide down the bore?

    Thanks for any info.

you have to notch the block when you put H beams in. Check out d-series.org or turbod16.com for how-to's.

I know about the notching. I can't get the rods in the bore to get them down to the crank to see where and how much to notch. There to wide to freely slide down the stock piston bore.

Oh I see what your saying...my bad. I have Eagle rods in mine and they just slid right in. I remember it being a tight fit though.

How much material do you need to remove? That will be fine to remove some from there, but not a whole lot.

Ok problem solved I sanded them down just enough to get them to fit.
