    Default starting problem

    Car is a Civic 1994

    Ok, i took off my dizzy and polished it, screwed it back on cleaned up the bay a little(engine cleaner and a rag not wet damp) an when i turn the key car will not start no attept to turn over nothing Starter smokes and area becomes real hot

    have u checked all the wires at the starter an make sure they are still all connected.

    ha ha ha,No , all wires good did this on my other car it works fine looks good, last week my eng harness went bad so ya

    I think this is the problem. Look at that broken English. I highly doubt you know what you're doing with your car. Take it to a shop.

    since it doesnt start and your starter smokes....
    im just gonna take a stab in the dark here but i think it might be your....starter

    you can also spin the motor over by taking the gas out of the car, pouring the gas onto the motor.And then lighting it on fire and watch the motor turn over !

    How would the motor 'lock' up with out him doing anything to it??

    I mean how can you give someone help without looking at this car for this type problem?

    I mean with a screenname like that NO CLUE and his car was fine until he polished his DIZZY and now it will not start...CMON ...

    Oh so you don't think my advice is useless I will help....


    You need the following

    starter
    wiring harness
    ecu
    battery
    ignition switch
    and maybe a new DIZZY

    seems to me like you might have 2 hot wires going to the starter.
    or the started is bad.

    maybe you fucked up your dizzy polishing it? uhh not to be a dick, but why did you polish your dizzy? i say get a new dizzy and starter. sounds like you fried the starter my friend!

    Naw starter is fine, tested it 2 day at autozone

    replace your distributor...or maybe you put the distributor in the wrong way
