    Default Miata cams?

Who makes miata cams and an aftermarket intake manifold? Ive looked everywhere and cant find anything. Only thing even close is crower will custom regrind stock cams but they want $420 a cam to do it.

what year is your miata? 1.8 or 1.6? B/c ther is a Exhaust cam mod u can do with the 1.8. By installing the exh cam in place fo your intakecam has proven to have some gain. But you will have to get the extension for the distributor shaved off, or sawed off. But it is proven to get u atleast 7-15hp. Imnot sure if it works with the B6 as well. But with the BP is a cheap mod to do. I just sold one of the ones i had. But i have one more i have yet to install.

Have you tried FLYINMIATA.NET or Rspeed.NET. Cant go wrong with either company. I have bought many things from both place for my miata. Rspeed is local and there # is 678-290-7504. Do you have pics of ur miata. If so I would like to see them.

FM doesnt make them and i emailed rspeed already and they said they havent found a compnay that makes them either. Im still debating on cars right now if i cant find the parts i need to run the miata then im gona get a 240sx hatch i been looking at but i really want a miata so i may just get one and send the cams to crower. I just wanna do everything right the right way from the beginning.

You know of anyone with a cheap shell in ga? I need just a rolling shell as long as the suspension, wheels, and dash are there ill take it.

Hell yes. And they have more than one spec. i thought they would just be all motor but they have the exact cam i wanna run on a turbo setup. I just wonder how reliable and how much they are.

HKS also makes cams for both the 1.6 and the 1.8.... I suggest that if you have a 1.8L.. you go buy a 99-00 head... you'll get more power then ANY cam swap. You can also modify a 94-97 1.8 head for fit the 99-00 valvetrain/cams. The benefit to the 99-00 is bigger cams, solid lifters, bigger intake/exhaust ports, smoother intake runners and the VICS intake manifold.

    ^^what he said...

in order for the 99-00 valvetrain/cams to work to its full potential in the 94-97. you will just have to swap the solid lifters from it as well. It will work with the hydraulic ones but it will be useless. thats how it has to be setup to work on the protege Bp's so im guessing it has to work the same on the 94-97 miata 1.8s.
