Thread: New Radio

    Default New Radio

Hey, I just got an Alpine 9884 radio for x-mas because a friend recommended it to me. My only question is if it will be easy to install (or possible at all) into a '01 BMW 325Ci to replace the stock radio. And if it isnt possible what would you recommend instead?

I had mine installed into my Integra in about half an hour. The 9884 is a very nice unit, and sounds great.
Will you be using the built-in amps? Or externals via RCA cables? Hell, either way, just locate your constant power, switched power, ground and speaker leads and splice the radio's wires to your car's. Simple, really.

yeah, except not... my friend has a 9882 in his teg... the bmw stock head unit is thinner and longer than the 9884, if i can get it to fit i'll try that, i think i'll be running stock amp for a while.

I am sure they sell dash install kits for your car. Try to locate one and it will make the whole process easier. Or if you are unsure, take it somewhere to have them do it, it won't cost that much to install a head unit and you'll know it's done right. Just my .02
