ive looked at some post but they arent exactly the same. my car makes a click when you let off the gas. i dosnt click in turns, stops when i push the clutch in, and i adjusted my valves maybe 4 days ago. could it still be cv?

lol could be alot of things
if it stops when you press the clutch, then it probably has nothing to do with valves/cv axles/etc... that'd sound more like a throw out bearing issue.
thats a sound thats hard to diagnose over the internet u might want to get it to a shop.Originally Posted by EthanR

ive been wanting to but im short on time. it has a newer throw out bearing (put in when i swapped the motor 2 months ago) but it was noisy![]()
Thanks for the help!![]()
check ur motor mount..never mine. u said it stops when u step on the clutch meaning its continuous. yeah u might want to get that to a shop asap.
this may be a dumb question but do shop charge to look at something? b/c ill be screwed if so
depends on the shop and how far they get into looking at it.
I think most shops will charge an hour worth of labor just to do a diagnosis.
But most of the time, if you let them do the repair, they will diagnose it for free.
usually if its a parkinglot diag they dnt/cant charge u for that bc theres no paper work and u still have ur keys. lol!! if they say leave it with us, get ready to spend.
i got a friend that is workin at a shop ill try to get him to cut me a deal.![]()
i say mount in tha back takes most abuse, and when your under a load then let it coast it shifts back in the cradle and if it stops when you mash the clutch is cause it has no load on it at all ne more.
LET ME GUESS... YOU MISSED A GEAR!
check throw out bearing .....

another thing, did you go with a lightweight/aftermarket flywheel and/or aftermarket clutch? if so, you might be getting a little flywheel chatter. my car came with a dual mass flywheel and unsprung clutch. i replaced it with a lightweight flywheel and another unsprung clutch, and it chatters like hell when the clutch is released. if that's the case, there's not much you can do about it...it MIGHT go away when it gets fully broken in.Originally Posted by EthanR
dont think so it may sound stupid but it the noise reminds me of a card on a bicycle lol

Should be easy to at least eliminate some choices like that. CV vs a flywheel or a throwout bearing.
id say the middle because i can hear it on my side and the passenger can hear on there side to
if you let me paint your VC prob would fix it
