Arrow 95 Civic Trans help ASAP

Last night I got in the car to drive home and when I pressed the clutch pedal there wasn't any pressure to it until the bottom. It is stiff and squishy, I have a horrible time getting it into gear, to get in reverse and 1st I have to pump it and give it gas till it finally drops into gear. Once it's in gear there is no slipping and it drives normal but I can't downshift. I just have to let the car coast until I can catch a gear, and it runs up the gears fine, like normal. What could the problem be? Slave cylinder? Thanks and reps will be given.

it might be your piston seals on the master and slave cylinder have a leak... or maybe contamination in the fluid that settled down into your slave... i'd try to bleed your slave cylinder and check all your hydro linkage

slave cylinder could have junk built up in it. i would say try bleeding it and then take it from there

Thanks for the input, I'm checking into the slave cylinder as soon as I get off and hopefully that's the cause.

look at the clutch pedal and see if fluid is running down pad behind carpet if it is you have a bad master cyl.

first i would check brake fluid, next check the nipple on the slave to see if there is a leak, then if none of the above bleed the system, put in brake fluid and pump the pedal see if there is any pressure. the only other thing i could think is maybe the throw-out bearing

Thanks guys. I checked the slave and it's good, the master cylinder needs replacing, I bled the system and it's good now, just have to replace the master cylinder, thanks for all the input and you have been repped.
