    Default Nightly tranny question

So I took all the bolts out holding my tranny together...and couldnt get it apart. I need to get to the gears to rebuild my tranny. Is there a trick to sperate a 5 speed tranny from the bell housing?

eh havent taken one of those apart yet, some have a snap ring holding the case to the gearset, some are just stupid silconed shut and take a lot of prying. Make sure you have all the bolts out like reverse stuff... detent balls etc.

Well there was a snap ring under a plate that had a thing with like 6 balls in it. Took that off but didnt pay alot of attention to that side of it. Guess I should have?
