Gsr is a good tranny,But third gear is longer, I think all the rest of the gears are pretty close.B16 will kill you on the why if you drive on the hwy alot. But its great for the trackdays just depends on what you will be using the car for.

yea what "southside" said-they are very similar in gearing, but the only thing is the GSR tranny was built stronger than the b16 tranny(internals, differential size.etc.), dont know why honda did it but it's prob. the difference in 1.8L and the small 1.6L
IMO the b16 tranny is a better tranny for all-motor, but if u already have a GSR tranny just keep it, if u have an LS tranny sell it and get a GSR/B16 tranny, not good for all-motor setups.
hey u should find a cruising buddy, remember me and u were always in the back back cruise'n at 60mph cuz we had the shortest gears

b16 trannys are going to be shorter geared than gsr trannys. my favorite tranny set up, and my future plan when I need to rebuild mine, is a gsr with an ls 5th gear. longer gears from 1st to 4th than a b16, and the ls 5th gear will keep rpms low on the highway. good luck finding a gsr tranny with ls 5th already in it, but sometimes you get lucky.
