    Default How to install TPS?

Dads friend scanned the CEL that was throwing on my car. and he said its the TPS. so i bought a new one and was wondering how to install it. heard bout it has to match certain voltage? how would you do that? I thought all you had to do was unscrew the 2 screw and take it off and replace it.

when you install the TPS, you can slightly move it around. move it around till it gets to the voltage you want then tighten

use a voltmeter, closed throttle should read .5 and WOT should read 4.5. Use the voltmeter and tap it to the red wire, black can be any ground. Turn the key to the on position (not turn on the car), and have a pin or wire to the check engine plug. Thats it, fairly simple.
