my friend has a 97 civic coupe and he has had a 93 integra gave to him. will the engine out of the integra bolt up to his civic? if not what will have to be done.

my friend has a 97 civic coupe and he has had a 93 integra gave to him. will the engine out of the integra bolt up to his civic? if not what will have to be done.
The engine will fit but it is an OBD0/OBD1 and the civic is OBD2 so it will more than likely throw a code and not pass emissions. Other than that I think the mounts/ecu/harness will need to be swapped/modified. Hope this helps.

has anyone ever done this? how much modification will be involved in this swap or is there any.
i just did 1 of a fellow IA members car a few days ago. us your civic harness with a obd2 b series ls dizzy. change your injectors to obd2 and get a obd2 b series alt. do the trick on your ecu. last but not least a obd2 ls ecu.Originally Posted by boostedb16
