Whats the better Bike out of these bikes?

2008 Hayabusa-$11,999.00

2008 Ninja ZX-14 -$11,999.00

2008 Ninja ZX-10R-$11,549.00

2008 CBR600RR -$9,599.00

2008 CBR1000RR- $11,559.00

2008 YZF-R1- $11,699.00

2008 YZF-R6- $9,599.00

Which one of these would be the best " All around" Bike? the Only one I've driven was the R6, and I personally liked it, but im looking to spend around 12k and these were the best models I could find for that price range. Im a good Rider, so no need to point out the beginner bikes ^_-. Im still inbetween one of these bikes and a 300zxTT, so if any of you have riden any of these bikes, or have a decent opinion on one, please post up.( I like those chip-controlled intake systems on the Yamaha's)

im not a bike person but seems like the CBR1000,R1,or ZX10R would be better all rond bikes

you have tried to compare soo many different size bikes and not only that. Each bike has it best points on different scales.. I think you need to break that list down

I ride a 2006 Yamaha R1 and I love the fit and finish of Yamahas. But to be totally objective and just look at pure facts-the 2008 Honda CBR1000RR takes the cake for 2008. Right behind it is the Kawasaki ZX-10R. Personally I'd choose a Honda over a Kawasaki any day of the week.

But remember Yamahas look the best, handle the best, brake the best, have the the least hp out of the group, but the highest mph of all!!

All in all get the bike that you feel the most comfortable sitting on!! I'd go to a bike store that sells all models you like such as Motions in Marietta or Mountain Adventures in Conyers and sit on the bike. Have a sales rep hold the bike up while you sit on and lean it a little. I like Hondas but the rearsets are just too high for me. They hurt my knee after I ride them for a while. The Yamahas fit taller/wider riders the best b/c they have the lowest rearsets and the handlebars are so forward and down.

All these bikes are so closely rated that it's up the the rider. I have guys that come around me on 600s b/c they are better riders than me. Get the bike you feel most comfortable sitting on and looking at. I can't stand the look of Kawasaki's and the new Honda front end just looks smushed. So if I had the $$ to get on 08 it would be another Yamaha. Well maybe the Suzuki GSXR 1000 but everybody and their mom has one-so that's no fun. I've always liked to be a little different.

i'd go with the CBR1000, big enough diplacement yet still nimble. I wish they kept the styling of 07 but things change.

Comparing a Busa and a ZX14 to the rest of these is a little off. They are different types of machines. Personally i like 600cc bikes best because they are the most flickable but that me.

I personaly am a Suzuki fan. I had an 05 1000 and a '07 GSXR 1k also. The 2007 and up models have power for days. I do agree though that honestly it will come down to rider comfort and looks for the bike. Honestly 90% of the riders out there never wring the full potential of the bikes out. You will not notice that 2 extra hp one bike may have over another, etc. They are all very nice machines.

I have been hearing great things about the 08 CBR 1K. Im pretty much sold on it. Looking at getting one myself end of the year. I have a 07 600rr and love it.

You wouldnt be able to push a bike to its limit, so to say which is the best all around bike is vague. For each class, they are all similar in aspects of acceleration, handling, ect. It comes down to which you feel more comfortable on.

I would get a Suzuki GSXR 750. In my opinion a liter bike is a bit overkill.

Yeah I my 600RR I had no room to put anything and it would get hot back there so I had to keep an eye on what I put in there. I changed it to a side exit though

you think it seems fast now, but after you ride a 750 or litre bike it will change your opinion some. I rode an '06 GSXR 600 for awhile and then the 1k. I don't think I could go back to a 600 since I love the power the litre bikes have. 600's are great on the track though or mountains.

That's how I feel. As much as a 600 will fulfull all the real needs of 99% of street and track riders in power and handling-the lack of torque just kinda makes it boring. I like to jump on my R1 and feel a little scared when I roll into the throttle hard. The 600s don't give me that feeling. As stated before there are a lot better riders than me that will come around me in a corner on a 600 but they just feel laggy on the torque side. I want that seat of the pants rush of a 1000.

Honda will only say that it has "at least 180hp". At 430lbs wet weight, it's over 120lbs lighter than the hayabusa, and 120lbs lighter than the ZX14 ninja. Hp wise, the busa has 198hp stock, and the zx14 has around 190. Even if the CBR only has 180hp, it is still 25% lighter than both the busa and zx14. Not only will it run 200mph, it will out-handle most bikes out there.

Busa= Head buster
ZX-14 = Busa Killer
CBR-1000RR= well balanced
Gixxer 1000= Civic I.E. everybody and their mama has one.
600's are a toss up.They are the most nimble.
