I just bought a 00 evo I need some advice on how to make it a 12 second car.Can anyone help :confused:

I recommend Batlgrounds as well they do good work and the staff up there is down to earth. They all are cool peeps and can get your Evo to run fast.

yeah there was. we were just confused because it was only available in japan, hehe. 2003 is the first year model of the evo available in the us.

No, not impossible. But you gotta admit, highly unlikely. Importing a car from Japan takes enough time and money to discourage most normal people from trying, hehe. Good luck with your evo, tho. I ran 12.9 with a cat-back, cams, intake and a flash - stock clutch, etc.

Mine dont. God you could run 12's with 1000 bucks. Go to dsmtrader.com

i dont think its all the HKS's. i just heard that someone did a test (i forget who) on the EVO VIII cams, and the HKS's were found to have an unusual flex. i think they placed last, but dont quote me on that.

edit: and oh yea, i wish i could run 12's for $1k

I have pretty much the same cams as an Evo mine just face the other way. As long as the caps are tight you'll be cool.

and yes, with very little money, you could make your car go faster.

with just TBE no cat and MBC, without a tune, I ran 12.9 @108mph on stock clutch.

But ever since then, I try to conserve my clutch as much as possible, since it's costly. ($1200 for ACT street installed.)

But really, the most fun you could have in Evolution is the twisties. It handles amazing.

We routinely go up to the Tail of the Dragon and do Solo II. (look at the signature picture. That's me at the little Talledega. )

we have about 9 to 10 Evo's attend the Dragon, and most of the time, 5 or 6 Evo's going to Solo II events.

You have a couple options.

Go take it to some "other" shop, spend lots of money and then take it to Batlground to get all that fixed.

Or just take your car to Batlground!
