Default Dad's Prelude just died, help

My sister was pulling out of the driveway in my Dad's 92' 4 cyl prelude. She said she got to the top of the driveway and the car shut off and all the dash lights lit up. She rolled it back down the drive and parked it. My Dad went out and tried to start it. He said it will start and run for a second as long as the key is turned in the start position with the starter spinning, as soon as you let off the key and the key goes into "Run" position, the car shuts off again.

What is the issue? Throttle position sensor maybe? Ignition switch?
    Anyone had that issue?

But it will run, just not once you let off the ignition switch. Not the distributor or ECU if it will run.... Gotta be something different
