    Default intake suggestion???

    i was lookin around to buy a good intake and i decided, the best power for money wise is the Comptech Icebox or the "whale penis" on papers they both seem to make decent power for intakes, #'s range from 8-10whp and tq's good too... but i want to know how well they work in a real life situation?? So pls your comments are greatly appreciated...

    comptech is a nice setup but is too pricey and doesn't really make power. The whale penis doesn't make any type of real power.

    The only real intake to produce power and is dyno proven is a) AEM ITR cai and b) 3 inch intake like the aem itr + velocity stack.

    And of course there is one more out there that everyone knows is dyno proven, the mugen intake system. Which is very pricey so I doubt this will be the route you're taking.

    intake is an intake unless you are after an N/A monster in which case you can probably afford the MUGEN........... i like the comptec deal myself but i can't afford one right now. AEM short ram FTW............haha

    Just buy the cheapest one you can find. Your gonna be spending $200+ on a brand name, they all work the same. Dont get a CAI, hydrolocking your motor isnt work 2hp.

    Intakes are overrated, buy the cheapest thing you can find on Ebay and it'll work just fine. Cold air or shorty is up to you, but I've never had a problem with my CAI sucking in water & it gets soaked every time it rains.
