Short to Ground...you talking about the grey box relay ? or the black box relay?
black box relay! and which ground are you talking about!Originally Posted by JoshuaASE
a SHort to Ground, its where a Ground wire is rubbed or melted into a positive wire that causes a Short to ground..you have to trace it down, pain in the ass, but you might have a bad block box
****** beats me to the answer everytime. i even raised my hand.
The EMPIRE

what you mean, You couldnt have checked all your wiring bro
no i was talkin a no go on the black box relay being the problem. im going through the wire harness now!Originally Posted by JoshuaASE
Your missing something over looking something, you have a BAD wiring issue, either the Black box is bad, Or You have a Short to ground, Meaning bad wiring somewhere in your engine bay or dash
maybe you put in an oversized fuse one time and didnt notice it? lol
bump! i need help here! lol
no other help to give you have to trace it down, i cant show you how an were your problem is by not even seeing the car, all we can do is give you ideas, the logic idea at this time is trace ,to find your short to ground , if you dont know nothing about wiring you beter off to leave it to use professionals, b/c if you go in there an make a big mess then its going to cost more once you pay someone like me to go behind your work
oh naw i have a good general idea i was just curious as to if a ground was goin to be come off of the harness. but other than that im good! but you were right it is a bit ch!Originally Posted by JoshuaASE
the problem is you have over 300+ wires, an it can be anywhere threw your whole car
wow! but couldnt i just follow the wire that getting hot or do i have to check every ground?Originally Posted by JoshuaASE
just the one getting hott
Now...sometimes I dont recommend this...but I had a OLD chevy fan ...kept blowing the dash light fuse, I spent many days ,hours,an I even let another tech or 2 try an fix it,,, nothing, So It calls for a 7.5 amp fuse, I stuck a 30 amp fuse in an wait about few secs then you will see smoke, I followed the smoke an warm wire, an come to find out , the cluster was bad...lol....but this is a REDNECK trick lol...
I would NOT do this to a New car...it was a POS of a van whom cares lol
pmed!
