    Default Official NEW RX-8

Well the RX8 finally got its revision "facelift". Not enough changes to make me want to run to the dealer and try to buy one. I also don't like the Saturn Sky-like front end. What I do like is the new in dash nav screen, the recaro seats, and the endless calipers on the Mazdaspeed version. Oh, and I would rock the taillights on my RX8 in a heartbeat.

Eh, I like it. I'm more interested in the rumors of a RX-9.

Yeah but its still just rumors, after the rx7 has been out of production for about 6 years now. I'll get excited when I see one roll off the assembly line.

They never will. The fuel economy would be way too bad to foresee them ever releasing a turbo rotary again, unless it was in supercar trim and cost over $70K. People already complain about the 16-17mpg city and 20-22mpg highway the rx-8 gets.

There is a 16x 1.6L rotary that is almost ready for production it seems. I want to see them make a 24x 2.4L 3-rotor motor with like 380hp, and then shove it into a 2800 pound 2-seater with a 6spd transmission. That would bring the full Japan sports car battle back on between the gtr and rx... in my opinion the r33,r34 gtr and fd3s rx-7 are the best cars to ever come out of japan performance wise.
