    Default Poor Man R owners...

Out of curiosity, what timing belt and water pump combos are y'all runnin?

I've got a GSR timing belt with a Type R water pump and there's significantly a lot of belt slap goin on. I'm thinkin I should swap to a Type R belt or a B16 belt... I need some suggestions.

LS water pump and LS timing belt

GSR/B16/ITR water pumps are all the same
    GSR/ITR belts are the same
B16 belt is shorter because of the deck height

DO NOT RUN LS WATER PUMP AND GSR/ITR BELT. The LS pump has a different number of teeth.

If you have "belt slap" adjust the tensioner, if that doesnt help, you may have stretched the belt, replace it. Replace the tensioner as well.

Yeah, I took into consideration the deck height. I'm thinking the belt stretched. The tensioner is as high as it gets. I guess it's either Greddy or Toda...
