    Default Oil leak question!

ok so i went to look at a car today, its a 94 gsr swap eg, and when i went there was an oil leak coming from the vtec solinoid area all the way down over the b18c1 code stamp, it also looked like it was coming from where the bottom block n head meet the owner said the vtec solenoid was leaking and it jus needed a new O-ring.well vtec kicks in but smoke comes out of the exaust when you first gas it. any idea if the smoke is because of the leak? and how could the leak be fixed. and where could i take it to get a proper inspection over everything, engine tranny, brakes etc. thanks for help in advance

oil leaks are such a *****. Degrease the engine and put that oil dye in the motor. Then drive it for two weeks give or take. The dye has a chemical that will show the concentration of the oil leak under a black light. Good luck

    Rebuild...

Jump in the game. Don't be afraid of that thing...

Order a HONDA gasket (GO OEM! HEED A TRUE BUILDER'S ADVICE!) and replace it yourself. It's not hard, man, I promise. Don't be afraid to get dirty...

I mean you can refer to Napa for some OEM or ALMOST OEM parts...but when it comes to quality, nothing tops OEM with Autozone shortly behind. But when it comes to something cheap like gaskets and seals and stuff...go OEM. Every time.
