I guess there is no such thing as a free lunch, so better pay someone to do it right.
Are you going to buy a kit, or custom one?

it takes more than 3 hours to do. taking out stock header, cut bumper support, align intercooler, test fitting bumper to make sure it clears the intercooler and tap oil pan is already 3+ hours. where did you get 3 hours from?

X5, especially when you're someone asking for help with installing a turbo.

I'm trying to understand this oil turbo filter thing...I don't see how it would achieve a smooth drain...

From the 4 kits i put on. I put one on in almost 2 hours just couldnt run my bumper that night. started at 7 and was done and running at 9. I never ran a bumport support on any of my Honda's.

Quick tip, for your oil line, do NOT tap the pan, that is so old, go to a parts store and ask for a turbo filter for your car, the oil filter has a nipple on it, put hose to it, BAM, no more tapping.

what if your oil filter sits at the same high at your turbo or higher and is on the other side of the motor? no oil flow :-D

that's typically if you don't want to tap the feed at the oil pressure sensor. on a honda the filter is higher than your turbo drain and will not work.

you're going to have to tap the pan...highest point of the pan between the bolts yielding the smoothest path from the turbo w/o having a spot in the drain line lower than the tap.
