    Default Help!

Ok I have a 93 civic LX and it idles at 1500 rpm...

Ok here is what it does when I first I turn it one it goes from 1500 to 1000 and back 1500 and stays there... anyone know what it could be? The car drives and rides fine, but just botheres me that its set to 1500.

    What I have done!

Adjusted the air way screw till it could not turn, but still at 1500... with all the way turned to the right.

The cable is fine checked it nothing to do with that.

Could it be a sensor or something any help would be great.

could be a vacuum leak. I had high idle after putting on my new intake manifold on and it was a tear in the throttle body gasket. I found it with carb cleaner. I sprayed all the joints and vacuum lines and when the idle dropped that was my leak. good luck.

check the back of the intake manifold, there should be a little vacuum line, make sure that hose is connected, I had the same problem on my Z6. It was due to that vacuum line
