    Default NEED HELP!!!

    my friend has a 1987 acura integra Ls 5-speed.... he says that today in started sputtering out when he hit the gas.. and that if he pushed the gas down too far it wont accelerate or even make a noise but the motor is still running... its just not accerating at all and it'll die at a stop light sometimes... seems like its just dying... could it be the fuel injector... please help thanks

    There are so many things that could be in play its difficult to say. Check the throttle linkage first. Then check the plug wires and distributor. After that the plugs, and then the fuel filter and pump. Next on to the injectors. If you smell fuel in the cylinders after pulling the plugs, I doubt the injectors are bad.

    first thing i would do is check the cap and rotor.
