No, doesnt get that hot in there. Imagine how hot your paint is getting in the midday sun in the middle of summer. go to www.paintscratch.com and give them your paint code and vin and they match your paint exactly

I've properly prepped and cleaned valve covers and sprayed with 1200° ceramic header paint and it still bubbled up at the edges about 6 months later, personally i'd get it powdercoated but that's just me.

You know you have to cure that shit before you run it. I had wheel paint on mine painted in bronze wheel paint for a while and it never bubbled.

i repainted my gsr valve cover with just some krylon wrinkle red and it lasted 2 years no problems what so ever. about 30k miles. i just recently stripped it down again to re paint a new color, but it never bubbled or had any problems.

Yeah, i painted mine with "wheel paint" from a spray can that I got from advanced auto parts. All i did was strip it with oven cleaner, wash it, and spray the stuff on and it still looks good.

if its prepped right it wont peel. the first cover i did over a yr ago was with spray paint and it lasted through many many miles and has since been sold and is still fine. that valve cover lasted on a top mount turbo motor as well as a couple tripe to florida. i now use dupont brand automotive paint and still have no probs
