Default Eiffel's Place? Or another shop to work on my NSX?

    All,

I've been by Eiffel's place on many occasions and seen the owner's NSX. I'm in need of some A/C work on my NSX and I usually don't trust anyone but myself to shoot straight on what needs to be fixed. But, I don't want to try on this one.

Has anyone used Eiffel's? What is the reputation? Are prices good?

For that matter, would anyone recommend any other good repair shops with NSX experience and good prices? I sure as hell want to avoid the dealer at all costs.

I've heard good reviews from Toyotech in Acworth on Kudzu.com, anyone?

    Thanks,
    Daniel

A/C Compressor sounds like it comes on, climate control works as far I can tell (every knob and button does its job). Just air temps are not cold at all. Figured it was a charging issue.

What year is the car? R-134a or R-12?

I'm not sure if it has been converted yet. If not, R12 as its a '91.

Need a good A/C service tech more than anything but one somewhat familiar with NSX's should be able to diagnose it faster. They'll be able to use the flourescent dyes or have an electronic detector.

If its 134a then personally i'd go get a recharge kit from Autozone or wherever and see if it works or how long it lasts, it's an older car so probably needs it anyways and may have just been overlooked at the dealer it was bought at

All of our techs are expirenced with the ac systems of honda and acura vehicles. We do not recamend a recharge can from auto zone. This does not allow you to ballance the pressures and account for other problems that may be present.

I understand but it will have to be recharged completely & balanced anyways if there is a leak right? It may or may not fix anything but it won't damage anything will it? I'm just offering a suggestion bc I tend to do things myself, got a 20lb cylinder of R12 sitting next to my car for the older vehicles

Nothing to warn about, is Alan Cox Automotive a site sponsor? Reps for referring Batlground don't mean to be a dick but they are the ones who pay to be here so like to give them first dibs If you are indeed a site sponsor and there's a reason you don't have your own forum or your contact info in your sig then I apologize ahead of time.

If you want to trek out to Suwanee, Blake Automotive is the place I would take it.

I would not trust my high dollar car to a shop that employs techs who spell like 8th grade drop outs. No offense, but if you're going to come on here and advertise without paying, at least make yourself appear credible while doing so.

But, back to the subject at hand. Honda and Acura Specialists down here do good work, and it's a great group of guys that run it as well, they'll take care of you.

Just take it to an AC shop. There is nothing magical about the AC System on a NSX.
