I like your way of thinking.....but I thougt the two of them had the same engines but built on different frames? I mean, yeah the G35 is way sexier than the 350, and the the 350 looks like its missing something; it seems too plain, but i thought they basically had the same horsepower?

G35 is basically a 350 with a back seat but both look pretty good when they're modified.. personally I lean toward the G35 of course

As far as modifying goes theres a lot more out there for the Z cosmetically.. the options for the G35 are VERY limited as far as body kits go. Under the hood everything is pretty much the same and you get some nice luxuries with the G. If you have any more questions feel free to ask.. I've been all over both cars for the past 2 years.

i would go with the 350, but ONLY if it was the convertible, that is an absolutely beautiful car, and I LOVE the G35, but i still like the 350 convertible better

    6 spd 05 350z track = 300hp
    6 spd 05 350z 35th edition= 300hp
    6 spd 05 g35 =298 hp

    all other 350z = 287 hp
    all other g35 = 280 hp

a stock g35 will always be slightly slower than a stock 350z due to their weight. its a couple hundred pounds more.

I think an unmodified convertible G35 would look very..feminine. Thats why I had to change mine up.. add a lil muscle to it

:jerkit: I hear so many people talk about the G35 like it's king of the road. I had a350z, that is until I let a drunk waitress from my local watering hole drive it to get more beer. You can guess what happened. The G35 and 350Z do share the same drivetrain, however the G35 sits about 360 lbs. hevyer. AEM cold air intake, Borla cat back, ground block, and the computer flashed out ran my buddys G35 with the same parts. Here is how I look at it, you want luxery buy the G35. You want a performance car you buy the Z!
However, I do like the looks of the G35 better.

lol its twin turbo'd, 406whp @ 9psi but I hit a deer last sunday so its down for a couple of weeks. When I get it back I'm going to try and push it up to 470whp @ 10psi with tuning.

that's impressive numbers. What do people usually get out of the motor before a rebuild/upgrade is due.

Average with a built motor is around 520whp - 550whp from what I've seen, a couple of greddy owners are hitting 600whp which is where I want to be.. I figure 650whp would be good with a built motor but who knows..I dont know if the transmission can handle that much power.

Lorcas car is definitely one of the cleanest 350's I've seen yet

You know, since I posted this thread, there has hardly been any talk of the 350Z, Is there anyone that can defend the honor of the Z, or is it truly running last? Just curious, thats all.

very true..I think a G35 vs. 350Z it'd be more dependent on the driver than the car but all things being equal the 350 will win.

I've driven/drifted both, sure the Z I've driven was Lorca's and mine is still NA. But I've taken both through some paces.

as for handling, the Z has quicker steering and it feels......bouncy, while the G has a nice smooth ride. Of course I'm partial to the G but that's the only difference I've felt.

not to mention, I can fit 6 tires in my G

go ahead Tony, now that they've seen the nicey nice pic blind them with the bad one.......
