Default regular lights out, but high beams work...?

    hey guys

my dad just called me about his frontier.

he said on the way back from work his regular driving lights were both out, but the highbeams still work.

i thought it was a fuse at first, but then if it was a fuse the whole headlight no matter what (high or regular) would be out correct?

    any ideas?

    thanks
