    Default Hourly rate

    i kno this my not be in the right section, but i was just woundering if some of you body men/painters could tell me how much the hourly rate is for working. i think i heard its no less than 8 an hr working at a body shop..any 1 have any ideas? i dont want to sell myself sort on the new job or be to greedy and ask way to much..

    10 sounds pretty decent if you are just starting out. but i woulda thought it'd be higher considering its a skilled trade.

    Ok..i was thinking 8/8.50 starting out.but that works also. and yea i guess it is a skilled training. its a Auto paint and Frame specialists

    Depends... At my shop. Detail is paid on a salary base. You start out at $400(with no exp). You can make up to $550 a week. Of course you are also working 10 hour days. So you do the math on that one.

    Body man and Painters get paid around $18hr. Of course that doesn't mean you are getting paid by the hour. But that is what it would equal out to if you totaled it up.
