We have to replace a speed sensor in a Ford Escort ZX-2 and i dont know where it is located on the tranny, i've also heard they were located inside the tranny. now the question is how can i get to it and replace it?

The VSS is on the tranny, not inside, It is located near the firewall on the lower part of the trans underneath the starter. It has one sensor clipped into it, and one bolt holding it in. Its gonna be a bitch taking out.
