    Default car wont idle smooth and rich

    i have a 91 crx si with a built ls vtec turbo d it been in the car for bot 2 years but cant get it to hold idle unless i hold the gas it is running super rich like my whole garage will b smoked out if i keep it running more than 2 sec checked all the minor things like filter plugs dizzy and resistor box does n e 1 kno what it can b mayb bad gas i dunno jus wanna here input

    running rich at idle will idle pretty low. is it doing that?

    if it rev's high then loses rpms... it's prolly the fast idle thermo valve... or it could be the idle air control valve. check those.

    i doubt its either. he has diff issues

    also, did you mess with the tps or replaced it recently?

    might be a bad MAP sensor.
    Who knows?

    yea check the map sensor. if its bad then it could be tellin ur ECU that ur under a load when ur not and it will just keep dumping fuel

    thanks 4 input replaced map sensor already, car ran good when i had it running then popd the head gasket had it rebuilt cuz i let it sit got the motor back put it in and its running super rich cant drive it nowhere cuz it smokes so bad still the same replaced filter map sensor dont understand cuz it ran good b4 i took the motor out could it be a cut wire ( is there a wire that would make this problem)
