    Default SWAP Advice. 1994 B18B1 OBD1 into 1996 EK Coupe, OBD2

Alright, so I could never get that motor to start in my Civic.
I am taking it out and taking the head off maybe I can find some clues on what was up in there.

So here the deal I got a wrecked integra with a good motor, I have to put it in this civic because I need a car, and that wouldnt be a bad swap.

There are two things that are bothering me though and that is mount positioning and OBD2 to OBD1 conversion.

I know they have conversion adapters, but which ones am I going to need?

And Which mounts do I have to change, because I know for a fact drivers side front mount does not fit.

    Any Advice would be great

i beleive the OBD2 mounts in the EK are different.

    order a 99-00 SI REAR BRACKET ($35)

Get a DRIVER SIDE 99-00 SI MOUNT

tranny mount should be the same.

you have an OBD2 CAR. use your SOHC CIVIC HARNESS ON THE LS MOTOR. youll prob have to extend some wires depending on what model civic you have. if its an EX its all easy, a CX will need the IAC an TPS wires extended IIRC.

you will NOT USE ANY CONVERSION HARNESS if you use the HARNESS THAT CAME IN YOUR CAR. you can crank it up with the SOHC ECU, youll need an OBD2 ECU that is the same as your year car. If you have a 1996 car, youll need a 96-98 LS ECU, if its a 99-00 civic youll need a 99-00 LS ECU

youll need to swap the oil pump to an OBD2 oil pump with a Crank position sensor.

    OR

you can use your OBD2 SOHC HARNESS and buy a CONVERSION HARNESS from BOOMSLANG.US for the SAME YEAR CAR THAT YOU HAVE to convert that car down to OBD1 an use the OBD1 LS ECU if you have it.

    its really not that hard.
