Default Friends SRT-4 need some help

My friend just bought this srt-4, and he thinks there are some problems and a major boost leak, check out some of these pics we took of some dangling shit under the hood, now this is his first turbo car so hes not to sure about what this shit is, and neither am I so maybe all you SRT people can give us a hand?

The thing that is circled, vacuums I had him rev up the engine and it sucks pretty hard, we think it went in stock intake but the previous owner was a shithead i guess, what is it? Not to mention the intake just dangles in there.

This is ok but not sure where it mounts to and not sure what it is, anyone know?

The tb and all the ic piping is all oily and shit, whats up with that?

and this just dangles in there too other it does seem to have a cap, but not sure what it is or where it goes and I know it might be hard to tell by pic, but if you have any help let us know, and the car throws a CEL but we didnt go get the codes yet, any help would be appreciated
nice black 3g for sale, pm me if interested!

cheap intake put on quickly. those parts are supposed to be attached to the intake I'll take pictures in the morning to show how they are supposed to be connected. The wires should be mounted on a bracket supporting them instead of just dangling. Also dont worry about the oily Ic hosing. Just take it off the intercooler about every oil change and drain and oil out of it and clean it good. You'll also want to replace that clamp on it as it wears out from taking it off.

Would the tube that goes onto the intake being disconnected make it lose boost, and his boost gage says its on vacuum until he gives it gas and it will go to like 15 and then slowly lose boost and only spools up high if you really step on it, anyone know what stock boost is on these things? and if the gauge should be in vacuum?

At idle the gauge should be in vacuum. Only when the car is accelerating should it read boost. Im unsure of what the stock boost setting is. Someone with an SRT will respond and know the answer.

right the whole keeping the hands free thing.

also note that those are psi spikes. You wont be able to hold them as your boost falls off

with an intake it makes the turbo noise alot louder so that is most likely what you are hearing. Tell him to get a decent intake that actually has the connection for the sensors and so forth. Pictures otw didnt have time today.
