a regular outo shop cannot tell you what those codes are that is because there are generic codes and the specific codes from a dealer, you have to take your car to a dealer to check it out the is a powertrain problem because the P stands for powertrain and is not a generic code because the 1 stands for a dealer code and a regular code scanner might not be able to read those codes or give you the wrong info, and the rest of the number just identefy the problem. So you can only take it to the dealer so they can give you the right info.

u dont have to take it to the dealer necessarily. just a shop with a scan tool and not a cheap code reader. it is a manufacturer code though. alldata also really helps to define the problem well.
