Default How do i solve my idle problem?

i have a 93 honda accord and for the time i've had it i've had some problems with it idling at about 2000 rpms. after a while of driving the 2000 rpm idle usualy drops to about 1200, but never below. today when i came home from work i almost shit myself when my accord started idling at almost 2500 rpms. i put my foot behind the gas and pulled the pedal towards me. almost immediatly my idle rpms dropped to 700. so is their a way to fix this? how can i make it so everytime i drive my gas pedal comes all the way back? or is there more than that.
