    Default GSR vs. LS/VTEC

I can't decide which to choose.. I have both setups...

    GSR head w/ LS block

    or

    GSR head and block

which one is faster and which one will last longer.. so which is best overall? I heard that the ls/vtec won't last as long as the gsr..

Yeah I'd go with GSR, I've heard better things about it, and is probably going to be faster.

But some can't get away from the allure of vtec.

I guess I"m the only guy who voted for an LS block with a gsr head... I've got a soft spot for the LSvtec...

i guess the extra 1/10th of a liter is just too good to pass up for me. Why no sell the GSR block and use the money earned to put better headstuds and rod bolts on the LS block?

An ls/vtec done "right" is just as reliable as any other OEM honda motor.

I'm assuming you'll be using a GSR tranny?

Done "right" or not, a hybrid motor or a motor w/ extensive modification will never be as reliable as a stock OEM honda motor.

    food for thought

generally people who go LS vtec
1.are looking for the displacement IF they have a b16
2.peeps that have an B18B, want vtec

now you have the complete gsr block and head. i dont see a point in considering a ls-v

If you already have a complete GSP long block I would run that and if you dont have anything at all I would get a GSR swap. That is if you want VTEC.
