In the 92 Civic.
gotta pick up a rear disc brake setup this weekend (hopefully from Lil nick ) get the parts needed to complete that part... and hnmm Some fenders, put in the motor.. and should be finish with that part..
Hopefully by next friday the fun should begin... starting off with a nice coat of paint.. ( black ) no more flashy shit for me..
do the rear disk to get it on there and then go big brakes all the way around its fun to go fast but its a bitch to not be able to stop, the other option is to cryo treat the rotors and put on some super aggressive pads like hawks then use super blue brake fluid and ss lines. a little extra money can save you alot when you have to stop a little harder then unexpectedly, but im sure you know all that

there are supporters and haters of the Omni's. just like every other suspension setup out there there are positives and negatives. Some people have the GC and Koni setup, i personally think for a STREET car they SUCK ASS , they ride like shit, and i cant stand them.
Julio and i talked several times about what suspension to choose and go with. I reccomended the Omnis cause i run them, and i have sold 10 sets locally, everyone was more than satisifed with them. I sell the product cause i belive in it.
I think you were the same one on IL that had "what suspension to go with " thread and it went like 8 pages. In that thread , everyone talked shit and said show me a shock dyno. when someone produced it, then that wasnt good enough, then it was "well everyone uses Konis cause they are so much better and been around longer". dont mix OPINION with FACTS man.
Love or Hate it, the Omni's are the BEST SUSPENSION for the money, PERIOD. Ask people who run them on HT and ask people that sell competiing suspension. they may not be the BEST suspension EVER, but for the price and quality, and handling, there isnt much out there that can compete. tein, GC, Koni, etc are all MORE MONEY and they all have positives and negatives.
Anyways, there are 3 different setups you can go with all with varrying spring rates. street/sport/drag. i have several customers with street and sport systems, i run the drag. i have no complaints

Apex-i N1 type Pro's.... Best you can get. Pricey at $2600 but I got mine a lot cheaper off of ebay.

im not a fan of omnis no, becuase i rode in a hatch with then and was hugely unsatisfied, then i rode in one with the D2s, and it was more what i was looking for.
I was just wondering what lead you to the choice thats all. adn what spring rate you chose? and your other suspension modifications
bah... sometimes, actually, alotta times, 32 damping levels on a cheap shock don't mean much, I'm pretty sure I saw a dyno of the d2/ksport shock somewhere before... wasn't too impressive, but considering the price it isn't bad.
You can definately tell a difference, I use it as a 6 level dampning, one turn per level, you can definately tell a difference at low speeds, high, smooth, and bumpy roads on all settings and ive finally got it where it needs to be to give me the desired respojnse.
Mind you i was also considering the omni as well. But shock dynos only mean so much to peopel that dont race on a track. My plans are for autocross, but the D2s will give me more than enough options to do it.

Nick, a big brake isn't worth it. I've got front and rear GSR brakes with GSR m/c, prop. valve, and brake booster. I'm not going to say I can stop on a dime, but with some performance pads, rotors, and s.s. lines I would be pretty close to it for a lot less than a big brake kit.
I agree, big brakes are for tracks and repetative hard braking, i noticed a slight improvment, but not worth th 1800 i spent on my talon over the drilled rotorsa nd pads and SS lines i had

Well can you find out if they plan on making anything for the AWD guys. I see so many nice set-ups but they are never available for the AWD. Whats with that shit?
but what the point was, i asked if it was based on budget, becuase other than that fact, there are so many other options that are as good, if not better. I personally refuse to have a shock.spring comobo or coilover without dampning adjustability. It might cost more, but its worth it.

It took me 3 weeks to find the suspension that suited my needs. And it was only because i really didnt have a budget on it
When I Said 3 month, basiclly I started asking question and Doing more reading.. But no, I didnt take 90+ days in and out searching for a suspension..

I read up on quite a few suspension setups, never on the OMNI's.
When I was Ready to buy, VTECKIDD recomended OMNIS's.. So I went back and read up on those, saw dyno's and pro's and con's, They sounded good for the price... If I was in a rush I wouldve gone with my initial intentions of buying something else. I took VTECKIDD's advice and a few days later he gave me a price asked him to order and 5 days later he had my shit..
And why are so worried about my budget ? You asked that in the thread that was deleted.. Don't worry about my budget playa.. you don't need to know whats in my pocket.
I just don't rush my stuff...

for elaboration on why i was wondering about price you were willing to pay a little background on my choice
I literally took 2 months almost every day asking quesitons, looking at research, reading peoepls threads and such. I was deployed in africa and really had nothign ebtter to do. But anywyas, i initially had a budges of 2000 i wanted to spend on my suspension total (sway bar, camber arms, adn coilovers, and bushings)
I got the arms for 150, the bushings for 120, and the sway bar i ended up paying almost 350 for.that left almost 1400 or so. I was looking at the tein flex. ALl the features were great, but from what i read, its softer than what i wanted since i wanted a potent handling machine to begin with (was hte reason for buying a del sol. cause we all know a DSM is faster lol). So i started to do my research including a HUGE thread on importlounge. The omnis were looking good, but when i could have other setups liek the D2, Tein, Even Apexi, it was just not feesable due to the lack of dampning adjustability i would have to have with a sway bar installed. The D2s basically have the same features and stuff as the tein flex. for almost half the price with free custom spring rate versus 120 a side on tein.
Im not hating on you for getting omnis. Im just tryign to clear up that you had 100 to spend and chose omnis. thats all. Everyone is on a budget, i was on my 8000 del sol build. I had a certain amount to work with, and budgeted accordingly. nothign is wrong with it.

Honestly, I've been doing this for to long... can't have a budget on your hobby.. I rather do some things much slower then build around a budget, but thats just my opinion though

I was genuinely wondering why you went with that with the other options for not too much more thats all.i gotta dig up a thread, but there were a few guys that hadf a problem with the omnis rusting on the threads. and the ksports also
I had the k-sports and they were pretty good. But the shocks didn't have enough dampening to handle my agressive cornering considering the weight of my integra. They worked perfectly on the lighter civic where they were a good match. I replaced them with Apex-i N1 Pro's. They were designed from the N1 endurance race in Japan. They have 60mm shocks up front and 50mm in back with dual valves. Huge shock! More dampening than I could use. Only at about 30% dampening and its still a very firm ride. But where these coilovers really shine is in high speed cornerning where most of the other coilover brands fail. If you can find them at a discount get them. Otherwise they are a expensive at $2600 suggested retail. But I was able to find my set on ebay for $1300 from a guy who brought them back from japan thus cutting out a great deal of the middle man cost and passing his savings on. Check ebay for these coilovers. If you can't find them there the cheapest I've seen them for sale online was $2100. Wooo Haaaa.
i was going to get a set of those also, but didnt have enough feedback on them from people to justify the high price tag. I have a few friends in the military in Japan, and i soon will be too. but i do wish it were a lil stiffer on teh high end but im happy for what i spent.
